1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using The CardDex ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account and use the Platform. By registering, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Marketplace Conduct

• Listings must accurately describe the item, including condition, grade, and any defects.
• You may not list counterfeit, stolen, or prohibited items.
• Pricing must be set in good faith. Manipulative pricing practices are not permitted.
• Sellers are responsible for shipping items promptly after a sale or accepted trade and providing valid tracking information.

5. Trades & Transactions

The CardDex facilitates peer-to-peer trades and sales between users. We are not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. All sales are final unless a refund is issued by the seller or required by applicable law. Cash components of trades are processed through Stripe and subject to their terms.

6. Fees

The CardDex charges a platform fee on completed sales, which varies by subscription tier. Fee rates are displayed on the billing page. We reserve the right to change fees with 30 days' notice.

7. Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Stripe. You may cancel at any time through your billing settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds are issued for mid-cycle cancellations.

8. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of content you upload (images, descriptions). By uploading, you grant The CardDex a non-exclusive, worldwide license to display and distribute that content as part of the Platform's services.

9. Prohibited Activities

• Using the Platform for fraudulent or illegal purposes.
• Scraping, data mining, or automated access beyond normal use.
• Circumventing security features or subscription limits.
• Harassing or threatening other users.

10. Limitation of Liability

The CardDex is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including losses from trades, pricing inaccuracies, or service interruptions.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify registered users of material changes via in-app notification.
